Employee Spotlight: Jason Lambert

MOLDING THE FUTURE

Building software for autonomous agriculture isn’t just a challenge – it’s an undertaking that takes a team of dedicated experts, each bringing their own unique skills and experiences. At the forefront of this endeavor is Jason Lambert, Director of Engineering at Sabanto. With a strong background in technology, Jason leads two critical teams: the Robotics Team and the Data, Apps, Cloud, and Services (DACS) Team.

Jason isn’t just about coding and engineering. He’s a mentor, a leader, and someone who brings humor and relatability into the workplace. His leadership style empowers his team members to take ownership of their work, make decisions for themselves, and grow into experts in their fields.

“My goal is to make everyone on my team an expert in something,” Jason shares.

Beyond managing two teams, Jason plays a role in developing product specifications, designing the architecture of the Vehicle Mission Control (vMC®) website, reviewing code, and even writing his own code when time allows. His expertise in data, mobile app development, cloud services, and API integrations ensures Sabanto’s web-based software runs smoothly while processing complex commands with speed and resilience.

Jason has always been intrigued by maps and visualization. In fact, during his early college years, he even considered a career in video game development to design real-time graphical systems. While he took a different path, his passion for visualization still plays a role in his work today.

As Director of Engineering, Jason is involved in bringing new features from concept to completion. His favorite part is seeing his team’s work turn into something real and impactful.

“There are real, tangible things that happen, and I get to see that all the way through,” Jason shares.

With a keen eye for innovation and a dedication to mentorship, Jason is not just shaping the experience behind autonomy. He’s shaping the culture and leadership of Sabanto’s engineers. As he continues in his role, there’s no doubt that his contributions will leave an impact on his team and the future of Sabano’s autonomy.
