Inside Sabanto’s Operations Team
Meet the five-person Operations Team at Sabanto. Their diverse skillsets range from electronics systems to supply chain and logistics, and together, they form a cohesive unit assembling, testing, packaging, and shipping the systems that make Sabanto’s autonomy possible on farms across the country.
Most people outside of Sabanto aren’t aware that our Iowa location is also home to a warehouse of parts and inventory. Here, every shipment is carefully built, branded, and boxed. Each crate that leaves carries the Sabanto logo. Inside, every component is neatly labeled and packed for an easy installation.

“I like to call our autonomy kits ‘plug and play,’” says Rease Morris, Prototype Technician. “We make the kit as easy as possible for installation so customers can get running as soon as possible.”
That level of detail wouldn’t be possible without the expertise of Drew Pehrson, Supply Chain and Inventory Specialist. Drew manages the warehouse inventory, coordinates inbound orders, oversees outbound shipments, and works closely with freight carriers to get deliveries out on time. His role is a constant balancing act of maintaining lean inventory while fulfilling customer orders without delay.
Meanwhile, Austin Cleland and James Lawlor ensure the electronics inside every system are built to perform. These in-house experts build, program, and rigorously test each device. Austin even develops custom test programs for different components, ensuring they work seamlessly with the various tractor platforms Sabanto supports.
As Sabanto has grown, the Operations Team has grown too, refining processes and scaling production. Jake Wernet, Production Operations Manager, has been instrumental in implementing a new ERP system, which has helped streamline operations across the board. Under his leadership, the team has improved workflows and introduced new standard operating procedures to increase efficiency and maintain quality at scale.
As a team, our biggest responsibility is producing our product economically, timely, and to a high standard that allows our customers to be successful,” says Wernet.
At Sabanto, innovation is built into our tech and the way we operate. The Operations Team embodies this mindset, ensuring every piece of hardware that leaves our warehouse reflects quality, care, and precision. Their work may happen behind the scenes, but its impact is front and center in every autonomy kit on our customers’ farms.
