FIELD-TESTED TECHNOLOGY
For Wyatt Fox, agriculture isn’t just a career path. It’s something he’s been deeply connected to since childhood. Born and raised on his family’s row crop farm near Minburn, Iowa, Wyatt grew up driving tractors, baling hay, hauling grain, and helping on his family’s farm wherever he could. “Since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a part of agriculture,” he says. “It wasn’t until college that I realized how I wanted to be involved.”
That clarity came at Iowa State University, where he earned his degree in Agricultural Systems Technology in 2024. There, he was introduced to all aspects of precision ag technology, sparking his desire to take on a hands-on role advancing the future of farming.
Testing With the Customer in Mind
Wyatt joined Sabanto in September 2024 as a Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer, a role that blends his agricultural roots with his passion for ag technology.

Wyatt performs a system calibration, a common part of the verification and validation process.
“My role varies every day, and that’s one of the best parts about it,” he says. His work involves close collaboration with Sabanto’s software, engineering, and machine compatibility teams. Wyatt tests software updates, new feature releases, and system changes. He’s also responsible for baseline testing across all tractor platforms, ensuring there are no regressions and that each system performs as expected.
Wyatt describes V&V as a two-stage process. First, validation evaluates the early stages of an update or feature. Next, verification ensures the changes integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
V&V is the first customer of Sabanto,” WYATT explains.
“We want to catch what the customer will experience before they do. That’s where my background in agriculture really comes into practice. I can judge what will truly help the customer in their operation.”
Looking Ahead
Wyatt thrives in a startup environment. “With a smaller company, the camaraderie is unlike anything else,” he shares. Adaptability is one of his core strengths, and Sabanto’s fast-moving atmosphere puts it to use daily. “I think being a jack of all trades is always better than being a master of one,” he adds.
Wyatt hopes to take on a larger role in developing new features and building upon existing platforms and implements. “I’ve gained experience and have ideas that I think could be applied,” he says.
Through it all, he remains grateful. “Without the team around me, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” he says. “They’ve helped me build my skillset and learn the system from end-to-end.”
